Buttons

I'm telling you loosen up my buttons baby (Uh huh)/ But you keep...hurting my retina!

I wonder why do people try to stand out from the crowd by clothing? Is it because they are animal lovers and have seen this behaviour on Discovery, they liked it and considered it efficiently so they adopted it? It is so easy to ask questions but the harder part is to provide a good answer...or a answer at all!

My opinion is that fashion is not just about clothing, fashion is a state of mind! You can be a "good fashion victim" or a "bad fashion victim". A good fashion victim is interested in what is new (from clothing to technology) and what can make them evolve; a bad fashion victim is somebody that wants to be "in" but doesn't really understand the purpose of some...let's say items!

Example: good fashion victim-> buys a computer because it has a better processor(s) and increased virtual memory which will ease working with it;
: bad fashion victim-> buys a computer because...it's pink!

When I make these statements I have real life examples which is quite sad for the world we are living in! What can I say more...stay smart!

So smart

Hey ladies here we have some goooooood news for you ,oh, creatures who love fashion! From now on ,wearing your purse on your arm is out as in OUT! It is now proven that a purse can be even more useful than it was before as it can substitute a hat, ok? Although I'm not so sure about the groceries ,we still have time to decide ourselves as we wonder if we have below a pair of shoes or a purse or...both?

The real question is : to wear or not wear?

Project Runway

Today I saw an episode of this TV show and I really liked it! The fact that the participants have to design certain outfits and they have to respect a time line is a source for a lot of stress for the competitors! This photo has nothing to do with the show but it makes me wonder what the judges would think about it...If I were in the jury I'd say that the local fauna should be preserved not sewed on some dress!

What is this...recycle the bad taste?!

!This looks like a parrot and I hope that no parrots were hurt in the process of creating this outfit!
Oh well...at least those feathers can be used at dusting by a housekeeper!

Shoes my love

Ok I admitt, I am a hipster so I'm very interested in everything that's new on the fashion market but these sandals make me very suspicious about how my feets are going to fit in...I imagine my feets as bridges between the two separate parts and no offence but nobody...as in nobody uses parts of my body to complete Matrix outfits!

This is what I call aggressive ,thorny fashion! They can be used as white weapons as a benefit ,apart from the cactus look alike! I wonder what man would have the courage to approach a woman who is proudly wearing a pair of these sexy shoes!

If you are still barefoot what's the point of wearing such...things? Oh I get it is... the privilege of walking on the tip of your toes with a wooden stick behind your calf!

Anyway check out www.virtualshoemuseum.com they have a lot of interesting stuff there!

To my non-expert eye this is a combination between boring , ugly and weird but I am open to any others suggestions!

So people tell me what you think about it!

Trashy tabloid regular!

When I first saw this I said...ihhh no way! Then I saw the article below where it was written: "The perma-tanned model attended a FASHION party at London's Studio Valbonne on Friday night wearing yet ANOTHER hideous outift.
I honestly didn't think anything could top last week's silver spandex catsuit - but this is right up there." And I thought...who the hell is this creature?

Well after researching on google I found out that she is a supermodel (with 5ft 2in tall how is this possible?!) and a tabloid constant appearance. Ooook! People love gossips, especially about celebrities, but hey that doesn't mean that you as a celebrity should go out butt naked to show the crowd how cool you are! And of course we know that your rich and famous bum cheeks don't give a damn about our insignificant opinions so we can throw dirt at them as long as we don't get bored and move on to "torture" another VIP!

And her face will give me nightmares for the next week! I have a tiny little question: is this how a supermodel face should be like?Because she reminds me of some hookers (no offence for the hookers) I once saw in a gangsta movie...just saying never mind my nightmares!

Good old times...

I imagine that she was beautiful when she was young and that she broke all her mirrors when she was like 40...or lost a bet. This reminds me of a joke.
A couple had been married for 50 years.
They were sitting at the breakfast table one morning when the wife says,
'Just think, fifty years ago we were sitting here at this breakfast table together'.
'I know,' the old man said. 'We were probably sitting here naked as a jaybird fifty years ago..'
'Well,' Granny snickered. 'Let's relive some old times.'
Where upon, the two stripped to the buff and sat down at the table.
'You know, honey,' the little old lady breathlessly replied, 'My nipples are as hot for you today as they were fifty years ago.'
'I wouldn't be surprised,' replied Gramps. 'One's in your coffee and the other is in your oatmeal!'

Pure Art...

There is no statement as wearing two different socks...or socks-boots!

Now this is what I call scary hair! Looks like it has a life of its own!

This model is wearing all the jewelry she could find backstage.

I read somewhere (I surf a lot and I'm not good at remembering names) that these excentric creations of fashion are not designed for people to wear (really?!) and they are just created for art fashion shows! I don't know about you but this art scares me! Just look at the pictures... Can you sense art? Can you feel art?...Arrrghh you profanes!

I made a statement that this art scares me and here is why: because in the name of this art people do the most outrageous things! Here is one example: one guy named Guillermo Vargas made an exhibition in which a stray dog was allegedly starved to death in the name of art! When I first read that I was like :Oh my God!Hell NO! But the fact stands for was something like : Hell YES! Because what that heartless man did was heard all over the world and I bet he is very proud of it! Another so called artist has put a bull's head in some kind of tank full with formol and called it ...guess what...ART! A funny example is the one of an artist who has won a contest with her piece of art: a bed full of weared clothes ,half eaten food and garbage! I remember the fact that such a magnificent piece of art was sold with a high amount of money ,something like 25 000 pounds!!!
In conclusion people can do crazy things for the art's sake but what bothers me the most is that those crazy things can hurt us and can make us lose the sense of humanity! And I start wondering...when did Mona Lisa's smile became out of fashion?!

I never!

I never make a style misstep said Anna Wintour did but never say never! It looks like Time Magazine called Anna Wintour's dress the "worst fashion faux pas" of the year, and Daily News puts Katie and Britney there with her. Well this can't be good can it?

Sometimes we do the same. We underestimate our abilities to see things clear. We say this cannot happen to me...never ever! But it happends more often than we think and we want. For example I never thought I could be virtually cheated by my boyfriend! Why would he want to talk to somebody he has never met in person?! Well I was wrong because it appears that he was interested in talking to some other girl he has never met in person and zbang :end of relationship!

So never say never you are not invincible!

Fashion and Sex

You will probably say "that's commom, so?". And I will stare at the computer trying to remember what made me write this title. Ah I remembered! A scene in a movie where teenagers were given condoms at the English class based on the principle "if you must do it, just do it right!" and a student says he is not inloved so he doesn't needs them. And I wondered how many of his age are having sex because they are inloved not because everyone does it (so it is fashionable-peer pressure) or because they are drunk in a club (going "in da club" is in too) and so on. A century ago people had sex of course but they didn't have all that pressure from peers ,from media channels they had different reasons ,less superficial than the ones from our time.

I was involved in a campaign called "Step Up!" which was in fact a contest of projects for preventing spreading of the HIV virus and we were taught how to make a good campaign, how to choose our target population and how to measure results. Which project do you think it won? The one with the condom machine. Place one of these in each building of the campus and this is it! Mission accomplished! Have sex and no worries! In fact you can have as much sex as many quarters as you have in your pocket! So again have sex people, it's almoust free!

In conclusion if you want to be fashionable stick with the fashion ,live the moment but don't do anything stupid because others tell you to ,because after all if something goes wrong you will get stuck with the consequences and that's not trendy at all!

Be in or be nothing!

I remember the times when I was a little girl and wanted to be loved and accepted by everyone around me...and when then ,of course ,this did not happened I used to blame it on my appearance : "If I was as beautiful as X , if I had her clothes, her toys...". I grew up and realised that my old complex was quite silly but not as silly to be neglected. My image is important for others to perceive me and even for me to feel confident ,but this image does not do the job for me.
Why do we need others to like us? Because if they do like us we can have different benefits according to the situation, but if they don't like us...well that's a sad story! So how can you make the others like you? There are many ways to do it but the one that I want to discuss in this article is being in. In what?! Being fashionable, being trendy...on what planet do you live?
Ok so I want to be in. I take all my savings and first of all I buy...a fashion magazine! Hmm I need an adviser before I throw myself over the mall don't you think? And when I open it what do I see? Lots of pictures and pieces of advices ...and some pictures like the ones from this blog. But when I get to the store I realise that those recomandations from the magazine either can't be found ,either they can be found but they don't look like they do in the magazine, either don't fit me well or at all if they can be found.
And then I get mad. I am tired of searching for the glamour from these magazines. Because I can also see what can happen if you get it wrong. So I make fun of everything that hurts my eye like this picture. It makes me think at a teenage movie where freshmens are made to do ridiculous things to get in a brotherhood!

When creativity meets the catwalk

Ok I understand that fashion shows are not always for us plain mortals to inspire us and dress our insignificant bodies but ...this?!
Since when putting someone in something that looks like a basket and who overall looks like hanged by the hair ..is art?! I don't get it...maybe I'm too profain to understand the creator's genius! And I bet that putting togheter this outfit costed a fortune! I let you imagine how many nice dresses and shoes you would have bought with these money...

Breakfast is served!

When you hear "you are so hot that I could eat you for...breakfast" imagine yourself with a loaf on your head and an omlet on your dress! Now that's a healthy lifestyle!
